I'm on the road everyday.

My poor car takes a beating... but such is the life of the real estate agent.

Fortunately I live in Arizona where such drives can be a pure pleasure.

Apparently I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Sherman's Travel came out with a list of the "Top Ten Scenic Drives in the U.S."

Number 7 on the list is the "Red Rock Scenic Byway".

North of Phoenix and South of Flagstaff is the majestic city of Sedona.

This setting has to be experienced as it's a place like no other.

Never before have I wanted to drive so slow.

Check out the remainder of the list- chances are your favorite drive is there also.

Chuck, it has been many years since I drove that route, but the memories are vivid. You are blessed to have such magnificent scenery around you. I am sure your daily commute is a real hardship:) I wanted to head back that way this year to look at the ruins (you know inspectors always have to check out someone's house, even if they have not lived in it for a thousand years). Now it looks like I will have to put it off to next year. It must be a great place for people to live.

Some day I will need to take that drive. I really enjoyed driving from Vegas to southern Utah to Brice Canyon. Beautiful country.

Never been to Sedona but I am familiar with it. I drove through the valley of fire in Nevada and I know it isn't clode.

Chuck: That photo should be on the cover of some popular magazine. Maybe our Realtor magazine shoudl start featuring some of the great photogs by some of our own. My jeep takes a merciless beating here in the North Georgia Mountains so I know what you mean. But the beauty of nature makes up for it all. The picture is stunning.

Frank- It would be great if you could make it back through some time... I'm sure you'll find the same charm.

Steven- I love that area- have driven it several times... Sedona is quite similar but on a smaller scale.

John- It has a lot of the same elements but yes... a bit different.

Teri- I so completely agree with you... Sedona is gorgeous.

Debra- You should see the real place!

Katerina- There aren't many place is the world like this one... it's sort of a new age mecca for some.

Fabulous photograph! We have family in Sedona and the Village of Oak Creek, back in the good old days when the drive to Sedona was carefree and less complicated that was a wonderful afternoon road trip...now on the other hand with the I-17 torn to shreds and the Village of Oak Creek's main street torn to shreds, my sister-in-law said the town's tourism is down.

I have to agree with you, Sedona is a great place to see especially for the first time!
