On a weekly basis there are many areas in Aurora that you can do something that can either help someone out, help the community against anything and for anything for you to cover your time.  Sometimes it can be trying to find something to do when you are first moving to a new city.  There is a certain bottleneck when you try to move into a new town and start to get your hands dirty with the locals and with local state meetings of the government and comities.  Being in Aurora property management we are in several of these committees which meet one weekly basis.  We have always maintained that you should fill up your time as much as possible.  Giving back to your community is something everyone should consider if they are able.  We understand that everyone’s schedules and commitments are vastly different and there are simply no times for anything that can’t automatically benefit your wellbeing.  It is prudent to try to fit these items in, even if it is not these committees in questions.  There are plenty of non-profit and volunteer organizations that you can join and still give back toy our community.  There are organizations like the Rotary Club of Aurora that provides enough service in that way.

The Ward 1 and III town meetings that take place in Tin Cup in Aurora.  Usually these events are at the Aurora Municipal center, the AMC for short as affectionately known in Aurora circles.  The mayor and Meeting Counsel will be your point of contact for these events.  Usually all the information is found online on the Aurora community websites.  Reaching them at 720-657-4432 will let you get to the coordinator for the meeting.  These agendas will also be available in person, at the beginning go the meeting.  You will need to get there early as there have been some reports of pamphlets and programs running out.  Fear not, there are overviews of the content and the night’s meeting on the white boards in the meeting room.

The CM Moynihan and the CM Mickruppeloilo will be hosting the General Employees Retirement Board which is meeting at the Aurora Corporate Plaza.  Second on their agenda will be the Investment Manager’s meeting with David Frump.  These events usually last around 4 hours so you will really need to block out time to attend.  There is no early leaving of the meeting, as it is important to have these items discusses.  Often the votes on the issues will be at the end of the meeting after a large overview of the content.

Village Green Recreation Center will be hosting Moller Mucket for the Ward IV community.  There are Wards I-X if you recall.  We like to report on when the separate wards are meeting.  We have attended a lot of the Ward meetings in 2014 and have since had to take a backseat and walk back some of those commitments.  We have seen plenty of growth in Aurora and plenty of benefit from everyone who has picked up our absence in their stead.  It is nice to know that for anything that you are physically unable to do, there are 4 more willing and able people that can get in there and pick up the pieces.  We will continue to report on these events however due to how many important things will often come up in them.
