Branding Moment: Does Your Brand Make It Easy For Others To Refer You?

The value of a great brand in luxury real estate or any other real estate market is that it makes it easy for others to refer you and your business.  If there is a slogan that accompanies the brand, the slogan should further clarify for others the reason to patronize your business.

We spotted Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille Sign (pictured above) in the Park Meadows shopping center near Denver, Colorado.  We felt that their slogan, “rare & well done,” described their promise of value. We also liked the double meaning in those four words.

Even though we rarely eat meat, we walked in to check out the menu. We found a fish dish as well as other seafood items.  This led us to make a reservation.  We loved the main course and side dishes we ordered, the ambiance, the wine list, and the dessert.  The service was just right.

We also shared our experience the next day with all our family members at our Thanksgiving feast.  They live close-by and had not tried the restaurant.  Based on our experience, they are planning to dine there.

Does your brand make it easy for others to refer you?

Good morning, Ron and Alexandra Seigel (A).... nice slogan.... known for steaks done to perfection...what I'm using now is 'decades of listing franklin homes'...

Catchy taglines always have worked! Ask big corporations like Coca Cola, Pepsi, Toyota etc

HI Ron and Alexandra Seigel - I caught the double meaning right off the bat and said to myself "well done!" no pun intended.  It would draw me in.

When you are in marketing or branding, you appreciate what it takes to come up with a great slogan that will reasonate with the intended audience.

Hi Alexandra and Ron... I don't know if my brand makes it easy to refer me, but my 5-star, world-class service sure does! That being said, I love this sign... it certainly gets the message across.

Good morning Ron and Alexandra Seigel ,

Another great branding moment example! I've always liked their sign and felt the double meaning was right on. We enjoy Perry's but have cut back on beef so haven't been there in awhile, will have to reconsider because they do have fish and other seafood items on their menu.

We have a Perry's Steakhouse and Grille several miles from my home.  I haven't been there.  But, I like that "Rare and Well Done" branding.

Great point. Too many times a slogan for a brand is based on clever but does not define you. I always believe you should opt for a UPS, A unique positioning statement.

Hi Alexandra and Ron -- rare and well-done --- hmmm, always expected and well-done --- that's what I think of the "product" you deliver.   Thank you for the pondering opprtunity.

One thing I would do is to change "Steakhouse and Grille" to "Steakhouse and Fish Grille" or something to make it known that if you have a spouse who is a non-steak eater that you can be accommodated.   Grille is a wasted word.  All I envision with Grille is a steak on a grill.  It would also make it clear that the fish they serve there just isn't an afterthought.

Smart post!  I don't eat meat as often as I used to but I do love a good steak and this sign would draw me in as well.  Glad it was a good experience for you.
