If the weather continues to hold at this great sunny and temperate amount, we will hopefully be able to restart the Highlands Ranch farmer’s markets. These will always occur on Sunday and once the weather becomes relatively stable they will be out in full force. Some years past they have not been able to start until after Mother’s Day. Depending on the amount of pre-summer farming done will obviously depend on how this nice weather will hold. It is interesting to see just how relatively warm and unseasonably nice it is. Regardless of when they resume, here is what you can expect. Our Highlands Ranch property management office is 3 minutes from the farmer’s market, so we have visited several times before.
There are a host of local farmers and vendors that show up and take over the town square. There is a central walking path as soon as you enter the center, and they will be lined up along the side streets and sidewalks. You will be able to get all manner of organic vegetables, from greens to peppers, and every fruit that is in season. There are many other surprises in store, that rotate depending on the week. There will be anything from fresh and hot samosas, to cinnamon rolls drizzled to the brim with organic icing. There will be street tacos, pancakes, papusa’s and more. There is no schedule for when a certain food item will be in attendance, so its recommended to check it out whenever you have the time. A lot of the time you will be impressed with what is on display. We usually try to stop by once a month, to get a few vegetables, support local farming and walk away with a new tasty treat we haven’t previously tried.
As we ramp up in to the spring/summer cycle Highlands Ranch property management becomes the sole focus. When we have a chance to break away, we love doing things like this.
