Anyone catching a flight this upcoming weekend February 9-11 at the Denver International Airport will be in for a treat. Once you gotten past security and are waiting for your gate you should consider going to the A terminal for a Beer Flight on the Denver Beer Fest. This event is sponsored by the Great American Beer Fest, who traditionally holds their annual festival in downtown Denver in the fall. Being in Denver property management we have seen what kind of traffic this event has brought to our city. We have even attended it once, many years back. It is certainly something to have on the bucket list and consider doing at lease once in your stay in Denver. This event at the airport is a little different.
Your admission is only $10, and everyone must have a valid 21+ ID to enter. There will be between 4-6 Denver breweries in attendance as well as offerings from all the Denver restaurants in the terminals. Root Down in particular is planning a grand appearance with food and drinks from their location. Your $10 will grant you nine 2-ounce pours of beer, and various small tastings of food pairings. This event will be going on from 12:00pm to 4:00pm each day, so if your flight lines up with it, or you have a long layover, you should consider stopping by.
The tables will be arranged beer garden style, with local artists work adorning the frames. There should be other items, like a live music photo op and a keynote from a local brew master. There should be some additional information on display as well. You can find many informational pamphlets on the state of Brew Culture in Denver, something that has ballooned in recent years with no signs of slowing.
