As we wrap up 2017, I can honestly say that print marketing is alive and well. I can always rely on my postcard direct mail marketing to continue to restock our listing shelves. The just listed, sale pending and closed another one postcards complement the marketing of each listing, along with fortifying the branding of the Todaro Team.
My January newspaper ad is due by the middle of December, and this is the January issue dedicated to giving thanks to those who listed with us. This is another marketing source that reinforces the fact that we are listing agents with decades of experience.
The offline marketing strengthens our branding as listing agents. Not everyone is online. Buyers start their searches online, but we are not searching for buyers. We expect every buyer to have a buyers’ agent, and whether they do or not, we represent the seller. Period.
Homeowners who are thinking of selling will look in the local newspaper for marketing; they find our Free Market Analysis postcard in their mail every month; and they receive a couple of hundred postcards by the end of every year that market the status of listings. Those are the Just Listed, Sale Pending and Meet Your New Neighbor postcards.
The more the potential client sees your name, the better the chance of your receiving the phone call asking for a market analysis. Perception becomes reality in the real estate business. The more yard signs they pass in their travels, the more it’s perceived that you “Own the Town.”
The holiday months of November and December are here, but my marketing has not slowed. Did I mention, they’re listing a fix and flip today? Did I share the fact that there are 13 closings between now and the December 31st for Tammy?
Those are listing and they are a result of offline marketing!! However, I would estimate from conversations with the agents that 30% of our homeowners Google the name plus many other keywords before they make their final decision, and we’re there. I have all of it covered, but the process BEGINS with offline marketing.
Just another thought for the moment.
