Lunch at Hank's Place, Chadds Ford, PA
Chef Dolores suggested lunch at Hank's Place, at the corner of Rt. 1 and 100 in Chadds Ford, PA, before our afternoon visit to the nearby Brandywine River Museum of Art. This well known local restaurant is owned by Katie and Anthony Young and you must try it when you are in the area. Click on the link to visit the website and to view the menu.
Dolores selected the Grilled Reuben with lean corned beef, sauerkraut, melted Swiss cheese and Thousand Island dressing grilled on seedless deli-rye bread. I had the Crab Cake Sandwich with homemade crab cake deep fried until golden brown and served with lettuce, tomato, pickle and tarter sauce. Both sandwiches were served with French fries and cole slaw.
Stop reading here if you are on a diet. For dessert, we shared the best hot chocolate sundae with walnuts that we have ever tasted. Truly sinful and wonderful.
Anthony Young stopped by our table to chat and to make sure we were enjoying our meal. It is very easy to recommend Hank's Place.
