Buy a home with a pond view, (see below) or a golf course view. So picturesque!
There are a fantastic array of activities available in The Villages, Florida. As a realtor, I can tell you that this is the most wonderful 55 and over community I have ever seen.
Enjoy a wide variety of golf courses, attend The Villages Golf Academy, and use the many golf practice areas.
Enjoy a fun game of bocce!
Meet up with your friends or join a group at the shuffleboard courts!
Enjoy a rousing game of water volley ball at one of the Regional Rec Center's sports pools. These are the biggest pools where water aerobics, synchronized swimming, lap swimming and more organized swim activities are done.
Have fun playing table tennis, a. k. a. ping pong!
Enjoy billiards at any of the 36 recreation centers.
Enjoy playing Mah Jongg, Card games, Board games, Dice games in one of the many rec centers. You can find lots of rooms filled with seniors enjoying these activities.
Tennis and pickle ball courts abound! Enjoy these wondeful sports!
Swimming and playing in the pool is always a favorite way to spend time in The Villages , Florida.
Use one of the many family pools when you have visitors who are under 30 years old.
Enjoy the quieter ambiance of a neighborhood pool, where only people above 30 are allowed.
Take in a movie at one of the 3 Town Squares movie theaters, Lake Sumter Landing, Brownwood or Spanish Springs.
Take in a play, magic show, music show and more at one of the three theaters in The Villages -- the Sharon theater, the Savannah Center and Tierra Del Sol. Top names like Lee Greenwood and Blood, Sweat and Tears come to sing, along with many other great performers.

Have a picnic any time, at one of the many ourdoor picnic areas.
Relax outside or inside any of the 36 rec centers, on the comfy outdoor chairs and rocking chairs, and the cozy couches and chairs inside the center. Read a book or chitchat with friends and family and meet new people while there.
Feel the calming influence of the beautiful decor of each rec center. They are decorated around a theme, for example Colony Cottage Regional Rec Center has a cottage motif, Eisenhower Regional Rec Center has a military theme and Sea Breeze Regional Recreation Center has a gorgeous sea theme.
Listen to music and dance at any of the 3 Town Squares. Doo wop, country music and many other types of music are played. Chairs are set out from 5 to 9 every night at each town square and you can choose where to go based on your musical taste. Each square has a few nights each week where a flea market is set up around it. The nights differ at each square so you can go to these markets many times a week.
Golfing is a favorite sport in The Villages, Florida. Many people own golf carts and travel throughout the community on the endless golf cart roads. There are an enormous number of golf courses and most of them are covered by your monthly homeowner fee.
There are many country clubs throughout The Villages 55 and over community in Florida. Have an enjoyable meal while looking at beautiful vistas in these clubs.
At Lake Sumter Landing you can go to the many restaurants and other stores, or buy an ice cream and sit on a bench and view the beautiful lake.
The Villages landscaping is marvelous. Three or four times a year flowers are changed throughout -- on the roads, at the Town Squares, at the Recreation Centers. Homeowners enjoy doing their own landscaping too.
