The Suze Orman show...she should be xxxx...

So, I don't know if anyone watches this show but, it has seriously disturbed me. Not only has she said tonight on tv that people should finance their credit card debt and other unsecured debt into their houses but, she has also crapped on people who are having finacial problems. She has crapped on single moms and how they should not get their 'haircut'....i personally think shes a joke...how about you?

Suze was one of the gurus who recognized the value of public television as a free platform for building your credibility.  One day she was on PBS, a few months later her books started appearing at the grocery store.  I'm sure the idea is to move debt from higher interest rate accounts to lower interest rate accounts, but I don't like the idea of burying consumer debt in a mortgage.  You don't finance a new car over thirty years.

Suze just oozes to much slick salesmanship for me.   Often when I'm flipping thru the early morning channels I catch the show and stop of a question or two and from that you can tell shes all about money but it's evident everything is designed to line her pockets with cash at the expense of others.

That is one of the reasons that I do not watch TV - She does have one point, the American consumer is too far into debt. I have paid off my house and am now retiring what little debt that I have. Still, it is not right to rag on the less unfortunate. What goes around in this life comes around.

She's become Springer'ish in my opinion.  I think it's sad how so many people steer away from what made them popular and turn into something they are not for the ratings.

There a lot of TV gurus, who make appearances and sell books. TV has found them an easy filler to replace good programming, which apparently is to difficult and to expensive.

I have decided to take piano lessons, and to practice at night. So I do not have to watch such stuff.

I don't really know anything about her, but it is sad to make harsh comments on such a touchy issue right now. There are many who have always done the right thing, and are now in financial trouble due to the economy. I guess we all can't be perfect like her.

She is just another person using the mis-fortune of others to further her career. I will never watch her show and don't believe in 1/10th the stuff I hear she has said.

Sometimes people need commentary like this to motivate them to do something about their financial situation.  Financing all that debt into you home is not necessary a terrible solution.  Its a lot easier to make 1 or 2 payment than to make 5-10 payments to credit card companies and all having varied finance rates.

With the economy the way that it is now, many people are living off of their credit cards.  Its a unfortunate situation.  But for anyone that is willing to listen and keep and open mind this is how you can get out of that rut resulting in substantial income for you and your family.

My dad always said, "My job is to let you know, so that you can never say that someone didn't tell you"

What a great idea. Just put it all on the home then look for a bail out. People like her who feed off of the poor and uninformed turn my stomach. When will people turn off the TV and stop listening to entertainers for their information?

When my daughter was about 4 years old asked me what an expert was? I told it was someone from out of town that carried a breifcase. She then said "How do you spell it ?" and I told her "A**h***". Just kidding but you get my point.

I dont follow her but that seems like an opinion and not an expert opinion.

The TV pitchmen have their own agenda, but they should at least know that home ownership is one of the largest investment people make so encouragement would go further than upsetting, and putting doubt in peoples mind.
