Try a Standing Desk if you are having Trouble Getting Outside

Once the weather changes for the worst during the Winter, it can be tiresome and daunting to try and get outside.  When you are chained to your desk all day, and arrive to the office early and leave right at 5, you will miss the sun if it is out.  If you have a window, your mood can improve with each day of sunshine.  In Highlands Ranch property management, we have several days each week that are reliably sunny, even without the great temperatures.  No matter how brisk it is, there is still a silver lining in the amount of sunshine pouring through.  This is still problematic for attempting to get outside and ride your bike or take a run while the sun is out.  The temperature may be nice at the high point of the middle of the day, but the temperature will cruelly drop once the sun has gone away.  At 5:00pm you may only want to make it home, especially if there is a bunch of traffic to take on head on.

If the above paragraph speaks to you, you should consider out to exercise when you are at the office.  The first step that may help long term well is to consider a standing desk.  If you go this route be sure you can get a motored one.  This will come in handy if you find the learning curve to be very steep towards trying to use a standing desk.  This does wonders for your posture and your core.  If you are standing for a good portion of the day it helps your back, feet and leg muscles.  This is something that will add up considerably over time.  You never realize just how much you are slouching, hunching over a phone or a computer screen, and how it’s affecting your posture completely.  The silver lining for the standing desk with a motor is that you can sit on off days if you need.  The worst scenario is being trapped into standing and trying to bridge the gap with a tall chair or a barstool.  Have you ever seen an ergonomic bar stool?
