Central & South Texas WildFlowers

By
Real Estate Agent with DISCOVER TEXAS HOMES

Well it's almost that time of year again when the wildflowers of Central & South Texas will be blooming!

Last year they were sparse because of the little rain we received in the winter. But this year we received a considerable amount of rain in Dec. and then again in Jan. This usually means the wildflowers are going to be outstanding! There are actually rural roads that we travel each year just to see the wildflowers not only in the fields but alongside the roads. I've attached some views for you I hope you all enjoy a little of what we see each year in the spring!

You're making us Pacific Northwesterners a little jealous Danny.  Beautiful flowers.

Danny thank you for sharing such beauty.  I am jealous, there is snow on the ground, more tonight and ice tomorrow, so these shots really brighten my day.

I just noticed today our trees starting to blossom.  I am so ready!!  I know we have a really short winter but it has seemed longer that normal this year.  My sister keeps telling me about their snow in Colorado and I don't miss those days.

Hmmm...spring is in the air...in the fields...on my mind!  Thanks for sharing these lovely places Danny.  These past few mornings I have been hearing the songbirds singing their territorial (this is my home!) songs

GORGEOUS!!!  Those colors are almost too rich for my eyes, I'm used to browns and grays in our dreary end-of-winter WV.

For all that commented, thanks! I forgot to mention that the flowers are also along side the freeways and you see people stopping their cars and walking up the side of the road to take pictures of themselves in the bluebonnets. It really is a nice time of year.
