Colors of the Year - Pantone, Sherwin & Benjamin ..WOW !

By
Real Estate Agent with EXP Realty 414-525-0563 57026-90 Broker

Every year the "Color of the Year"  is chosen by a number of experts and while it is doubtful it will mean re-painting your whole house...you will see more things available in these hues not only in paint but accessories and furniture as well.

Pantone is time tested guide for all things colorPantone Color 2017 worldwide...ask anyone who is in graphic arts or ever has been ...pantone color swatches guided them through corporate logos and brochures...and their bold selection this year is Ultra Violet....No they didn't ask me....it just looks as though they have, says she who LOVES all things Purple.

It is being dubbed ....a little bit cosmic...mysterious....a hue we can embrace for the future....which makes me psychic...I have always loved  it...let me count the ways.

Sherwin Williams has a different hue in mind for their Sherwin Williams Color of the Year twenty eighteen.Their Oceansidechoice is  a  shade they call Oceanside...a deep blue/green....not exactly teal.  This rich jewel tone they tout as being universal in an application that can be used in any home decor style and add welcoming marine inspired thoughtfulness from mid century to contemporary furnishings.

On to the experts at Benjamin Moore for their color forecast for the coming year. A bold statement with an air of excitement....they have chosen Caliente a shade of RED thatCalliente they are calling..."the signature color of a modern architectural masterpiece."

Rolling out the red carpet of this bold yet warming choice.

If you are considering selling your house, you may wish to neutrailize your choices of wall/woodwork colors and choose these vibrant jewel tones in accents on pillows, area rugs, etc.  Any one of them goes well with white or natural woodwork .   So glad we have said good bye to the beige and brown some people found bla and a bit depressing.

Welcome the new year with bold color choices if you wish....as accents....as compliments to the base of neutral decor you have chosen.

Sally K. & David L. Hanson welcome the opportunity to work with you for all things real estate Selling or buying in southeastern Wisconsin...it is our honor and pleasure to be a part of the life changing process that you choose in selling or buying a new home.

Thank you for sharing information about these three colors. I love all of them for accents but would not paint an entire room in any of these colors.

That Caliente red (meaning "hot" in Spanish) is very close to the code color required by code authorities to meet the code.

Note the accent wall on the right.

And the code is Burgundy.

And that is that.

Yes, the balls on the table are, of course, Redskins/Dallas, and house rules - Dallas can never win.

If they do the homeowner here gets caliente...

Pantone is very close to Viking colors.  You sure you want to go with that?

Some interesting choices for this year's colors.  All of them look good but need to be used sparingly.

Good morning Sally K. & David L. Hanson ,

It's always interesting when Pantone chooses its "color of the year" followed by Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore..some lively colors this year and certainly hope like Gabe Sanders they are used sparingly!

Love purple but I don't know if I would paint my  house purple. I once had the master bedroom painted pink and after changing the color to a soft blue, I noticed that I didn't have any trouble falling asleep. Was the pink influencing me? I have to think Yes.

Morning Sally.

Although I like the color, I don't believe you'll find that one in our home.

Sally and David- I looked at all three colors and like them. However, I'd rather use them as accent colors! Love how bold they are.
