I Will Follow You, Follow You - Until I hit the wrong button!
I have recently seen more than a few instances where some of my contacts have unsubscribed from my emails and searches to find out that they had accidentally hit the wrong button when using their phones or tablets. I have looked at some of these sites with a phone and then a computer and the differences are dramatic, no matter how well the site translates to the mobile platform. Anyone browsing the web or doing business with a phone or tablet should use extreme care.
We have been puzzled of late to see some of our favorite Active Rain members fall off our following list. It's difficult to notice until you see a comment with the follow button unpressed. Thinking it was an AR glitch (sorry), we didn't think much more about it, and vowed to hit the follow buttons when we noticed a problem.
Recently though, while commenting on others posts with my cell phone, I realized what was happening. Since we often visit others posts from their comments on our post, we hit the profile. This screen pops up, and on a small screen it's pretty easy to inadvertantly hit the unfollow link instead of the blog link.
Therefore if we've followed you, unfollowed you, and then followed you again, we're not messing with you. It's purely accidental. And hopefully, we'll get everybody back on our "following list" soon - where they belong.
