The Orlando Sentinel had an article on the front page today about the sub-prime mortgage foreclosure situation. All this isn't really anything new, but the article does have an interactive database with maps searchable by city or zip code. It's no surprise that most of the foreclosures are occurring in the outlying suburban areas like Poinciana, Palm Bay, Clermont, Davenport, Deltona, and Avalon Park as well as the more inner city urban areas like Pine Hills, Sanford, Apopka, and Azalea Park.
I wrote an article last year about the Soft Market Areas around Central Florida and many of those areas are reflected on these interactive maps. This foreclosure search is pretty neat, so take a look for yourself.
