Makeover 2 Takeover

makeover to takeover I’m looking forward to the Make Over to Take Over contest and to mentoring Kim Wood.

Kim and I met briefly on Active Rain, through her postings. We really got to know each other through Twitter. One night Twitter was down for an upgrade so some of us, (Chris, Sarah C, Sarah S, Dez) went over to Skype and started to chat.

The conversations on Skype are fast and furious. One of my clients is on a sabbatical in Africa. We are closing on her home on June 4th. All of our conversations and negotiating have been done via Skype.

I bought head phones for Skype and Kim is after me to buy a web cam. I have always resisted buying a web cam because of pride.

I mean do I really want people to see me in my jammies and god forbid, No Make-up?

Well, with Kim living in West Chester, Pa and me in Ann Arbor, guess I’ll go get a web cam. (No you can’t look).

To make it easier for me to follow the teams in the Make Over to Take Over, I set up a group in my Associates called Make Over To Take Over Associates.

Kim and I and some of the other “girls” from Active Rain are meeting for the first time in June at an undisclosed location in N. Carolina. This was way before the contest was even announced.

Now Desiree has threatened to not allow Kim and me talk. If we do she is going to bring up Brian Block her apprentice. No men allowed !!

Oh this competition is going to be fun !!

Missy, Desiree mentioned to me the other night about your planned "Girls Weekend" in North Carolina. While a vacation in N. Carolina with some of the lovely ladies of Active Rain certainly sounds tempting, I'm not sure that my very understanding wife would approve.

On another note, both Desiree and I are really looking forward to the competition.

I got my eyes on you two! You know I love ya both and enjoy time on twitter! Kim is one of my hero's and means very much to me.. Brian Block..ever notice he is always with the chicks...very smart guy! :) We use aol for computer phone and on occasion we use skype may have to get to the program though..I imagine those phone conversations have to be really interesting!

Now I have to join the twitter group..

Undisclosed location..do you mean what happens there stays there too??????

Brian, LOL, my husband wouldn't approve either if I was the only woman.

Midori, I have my eyes on you too. You are already a teacher, trainer. Good luck ! I just hope I can keep up with all the assignments, we are really busy now that Spring is finally here.

Missy - Deb and I also started a new folder yesterday and today with the makeover2takeover. You probably noticed I was adding you as an Associate while you were probably adding me.

PS...I also set up my webcam, this should be interesting cause after 6pm I am in jammies, no make up and hair in a pony tail. Hope I don't scare Deb off ! Lol

I hope this doesn't turn into a personality conflict. Come on...let's keep it clean...no mud sliggin...well mabe a little.

Missy - I cannot imagine needing a webcam. The headphones I understand, but I don't have to see someone to understand them. It drives me crazy when people are driving their car, and turn to look at the passenger when they talk.

NORTH CAROLIINA!!! I would LOVE to meet you all! I know we are now competitors:) but if you are in my state I have to ask when and where!

Looking forward to this, you will do great. We have been contemplating on getting a webcam too. I had a client in Chna a couple of years ago and he used Skype to contact his wife. It was free back then if I remember.

Wow... Missy I would love to meet you guys in NC...i've been out of things since i broke my wrist while roller blading with my daughter on mother's day..... I too want to be part of the contest...but i can't find a mentor in my area...anyway i will keep reading...
