FIRE DAMAGE REPAIR AND RESTORATION BY 3Rs CONSTRUCTION

You know dry ice… that stuff that makes a cool smoke effect at concerts and makes a Halloween witches brew look eerie. Yeah, that stuff! Well, it does have practical uses too. Dry ice is simply frozen carbon dioxide, so it’s completely natural. Carbon dioxide is what humans breathe out and plants soak in. (Remember science class… photosynthesis!) It’s also the gas that is added to water to make soda fizzy. Dry Ice is cold…super cold, -109.3 degrees cold and is most often used to keep things cold because when it melts there is no water left behind.

3Rs Construction Dry Ice BlastingAt 3Rs Construction, we use dry ice in a different way. Dry ice blasting has become the new best method for removing unwanted substances from a building surface. It’s a great remediation and restoration tool to use on:

When fire and water has damaged your home, it’s hard to know where to start to make the proper repairs. The whole situation can be a very traumatic experience for you and your family. It’s important to rely on trusted professionals to help you repair and restore your home.

Dry ice blasting is a safe, clean, fast and efficient method for the restoration process from fire and water damage.

Restoration with Dry Ice Blasting 3Rs Construction

Dry Ice Blasting is SAFE

Because carbon dioxide is a naturally occurring gas, it is a great chemical-free option for clean-up. There are no residual effects to see or smell from dry ice, but does it eliminate the musty, charred odor from the soot.

Dry Ice Blasting is CLEAN

The extreme cold temperature of dry ice is -109.3°F or -78.5°C and nothing is left behind due to sublimation. That means it changes from a solid to a gas without becoming a liquid,

Dry Ice Blasting is FAST

Time saving repair means you get back into your home faster. Fewer man-hours for clean-up are a benefit for everyone.

Dry Ice Blasting is EFFICIENT

Home surfaces such as wood, brick, metal, and concrete can be cleaned with dry ice.  The blasting method can be adjusted to work around nails and fasteners; electrical and plumbing; and tight spaces such as angles and seams.
