I am so excited (my fingers can barely keep up) to say that my new venture, NEAT FREAKS, is on the verge of opening.
For those of you that haven't heard me chatter on endlessly about my new company, it is a cleaning service. A cleaning service that goes a bit further and gives me something to truly smile about each day!
It was an idea born of heartache...
I spend hours on end, as a Realtor, listening to single moms pour their devoted hearts out.
These are professional women who sincerely try to put money back for a home, their child's future, and invest wisely to protect their families.
One job often doesn't provide them with the cash flow to build funds for anything other than day to day expenses. So I would watch them try desperately to juggle day care, day job hours, night shifts, etc....all just to break even.
Enough is enough...so at 2am one morning I sat straight up in my bed and almost kicked my own behind for not thinking of this sooner.
As a Realtor, I get endless calls from people each day asking me to refer an honest, dependable, economical cleaning service. Now, I will say there are some good ones...but it seemed the industry has so much turn over and sometimes the prices just don't match the results!
Duh!
So I juggled the idea around for months. I researched local cleaning services, called endless service providers, and spoke to my single moms. They all were thrilled.
Now to make an extremely long (about one year worth) story short..this is what it comes down to...
What is required of NEAT FREAKS members:
They will be independent contractors. They will start off at a percentage of every job they do..then eventually (if they get three good reports, and work at least 6 months) they make 90% of every job they take. They decide when they work however if they turn down more than 4 jobs a month....I say adios.
I have already gotten several businesses...doctors..yada yada who want to take us own as their main cleaning service so most of the jobs will be after hours....
I am so excited. The best part is:
I didn't do this to be Donald Trump. My hopes is to be only the founder. I don't anticipate making tons of money myself. I wanted to give single moms a shot at owning a part of a business that gives them freedom and cash!
I require that each person who joins Neat Freaks do the following:
1. Establish a college fund for at least one of their children (I will match it at the end of the year)
2. Attend a short class on financial planning (at their convenience but must be done within first 3 months, free of charge of course)
3. Meet with (one of my good friends) a local physician to learn about how to save money on health care for themselves and their children, and how to be proactive in keeping everyone healthy...at no charge of course..but must be done in the first 3 months.
4. Read at least one of the following books (I have all the copies, yes I am a nerd):
Smart Women Finish Rich
Suze Orman's Women and Money
Financial Freedom (Dave Ramsey)
It has to be done within the first year......
So...I am pretty pumped. I am not lucky enough to have kids right now...but I am excited to offer this to those who do!
