The Premier Agent Never Called
What a great post.... this is what happens with Z.... if you're not a premier member, you get nothing....but if you are, you may still get nothing.... the one who does get the contact info will likely redirect that contact to their own listing.... just another Z kick in the butt....
The Premier Agent Never Called
I have a listing and as is the case with all of my listings, it was borrowed by zillow so that they could advertise it on their web site.
An interested potential buyer saw my listing on zillow and decided to inquire about it.
Instead of contacting me directly, the potential buyer contacted a "premier" agent whose name and face were right next to my listing.
Zillow, being a considerate organization, sent me an email stating that an inquiry had been made to a premier agent about my listing.
I have the agents name, so I could call him, but I thought I would just see what would happen if I did not take that initiative.
The premier agent never called to make an appointment or to ask about the property.
There was enough information borrowed by zillow and available for review by the interested buyer such that the premier agent would not have had any additional information unless they called me.
So what happened again? A buyer inquired about my listing, but did not receive additional information from the premier agent about the listing. Did the premier agent steer the buyer to one of his listings, to another area, or did he just drop him? I don't know.
What made this particular agent "premier"? It had nothing to do with his ability, his knowledge, his previous service, but rather it had to do with the fact that he paid zillow to be in a top position on their web site.
If you want information about a particular listing, then you are more likely to get it if you contact the listing agent.
