Pressure Control

By
Real Estate Agent with Transaction Alliance 513.520.5305 www.LizTour.com SAL.2002007747

July 1981.  Annapolis.  I'm 17 and inches away from my face is an upperclassmen exercising his vocal volume.  I think he's pegged out at max volume.  Initially it's a bit stressful, but over time a certain immunity is developed to the high pressure approach.  Yelling isn't leading, although it does have its time and place for having the desired effect!

As a real estate agent I'm regularly exposed to high pressure approaches, both personal and professional.

Visit the eye doctor and he's pushing hard to buy my eyeglasses there (even after I express my intent to buy from my preferred shop).

The scare tactics of politicians and their minions who want me scared so I'll react the way they want me to.  Divided we fall.

The telemarketer who insists that they can't find my website (yet they found a way to contact me) and they can make me page 1 for my search terms (uh...yeah...you don't even KNOW my search terms...and guess what?  I'm already page 1 for the terms I'm most concerned about)

The listing agent who has an offer coming any minute so my buyers best hurry and get in an offer!  (and sometimes this is true....and sometimes this is the product of the south end of a bull).

Pressure is part of Life, sometimes a big part of it!

But there are things we can do to reduce that pressure.  Sometimes it's a matter of saying NO and moving on.  No to that sales pitch.  No to the scare tactics.  No to the hype.

But sometimes the path to less pressure is a matter of saying YES.

Saying yes to hiring a skilled, professional real estate agent can significantly reduce the stress of buying or selling a home.  We've been there, done that, time after time.  We know when we SHOULD be acting fast and when we should be tapping the brakes or even when we should be doing absolutely nothing at all and waiting for someone else to flinch first!

Need a real estate guide who will minimize the pressure on you?  That's what we're here for.  Further questions about buying or selling a Cincinnati area home?  Call Bill at 513-520-5305 or email Liz@LizSpear.com and we'll determine how we can best help you!

Put 40 years of experience to work for you

Good morning Liz and Bill: This is a good blog to set music to, and perhaps you were also thinking of this 1981 song when you wrote it? Queen, I think, Under Pressure. Or at least that's what I hear going through my head reading this.

I don't think anybody likes to be pushed around. Guided is one thing. Being pushed is another.

No matter the task, it helps having someone who knows what they're doing taking care of it.

WE feel pressure from all sides in today's world.  When we learn how to handle it we feel less pressure.

That is the difference.  Keeping perspective, knowing what's truly big and small, it's how we protect our clients.

“The scare tactics of politicians and their minions who want me scared so I'll react the way they want me to.  Divided we fall." What a true statement that is!

Myrl, I'm so fed up with the half truths and no truths spewing from both sides of the political spectrum.  They live to keep us at each others throats.  "Florida man gets 15 years in prison for putting bacon on a mosque!!!!".  Well that, and breaking in, smashing windows, tearing out lights and doing other damage.  Throw in the hate crime charge on top and yes, he got 15 years in jail.  Obviously the whole story isn't nearly as simple as some would want us to believe.  And that's just one small story of so many flying around.  Ugggggh.  Bill

Ditto!  I was playing the video while I was mulling over how to develop the topic.  Freddie could sign like few others, add Bowie to the mix and just unreal.
