Christmas in Downtown Clarksville
Clarksville has a Historic Downtown that is pretty to see any time of the year. But when Christmastime rolls around, you don't want to miss seeing it in the evening hours. It is all lit up with lights and decorated lampposts and lighted buildings and streetways.
I promise you it is worth the drive to take a look and see the magic going on. On Public Square you'll see the lighted tree in front of City Hall and City Hall has trees in all of their arched windows. Franklin St. and Strawberry Alley are in lights and you will feel in the holiday spirit when you walk down the streets.
Before you leave the downtown area, drive down to Riverside Drive and see a million lights on the Riverwalk. You can stroll the winding walkways with Christmas music playing. Our Christmas on the Cumberland display will continue until early January 2017 and is free and open to the public.
Make Christmas in Historic Downtown Clarksville a part of your holiday season. I recommend you go at dusk and at night, too. There are restaurants and other fun places in the downtown area. Check out the Roxy Theater or the Custom House Museum and be sure to try ice skating at the new park.
