White Elephant Game

I have to thank Jane Chaulklin-Schott for this one!

She mentioned in a comment that they were using a new twist to this game.

That has me curious about what 'twist' other people use for this game?

Hi John...   Our TEAMCONNECT REALTY Christmas Party was held at Seasons 52 on famous SandLake Restaurant Row in Orlando yesterday.  It was a great party and the White Elephant game was so interesting.  All gifts were purchased by the company in the amount of $75.00 and very newest tech stuff.  Each year TeamConnect puts a different twist to the game.  Some of the prizes were super great and of course there is the normal back and forth of loosing your particular prize.  After the game seemed completed and each had their particular gift came the twist:   EVERYONE WAS TO LOOK UNDER THEIR PARTICULAR RESTAURANT CHAIR!  Hanging beneath each chair was a Christmas little card and on the card was written one of the white elephant gifts....no matter what each person held in their hand, the white elephant gift they would end up was to be the gift written on the card attached to their card/chair.  It was a big surprise as some had to give up their particular gift that they now had become attached to.  Seems like this could be a sort of sad an disappointing twist; however, everyone laughed and the begging one another to trade began. Yes,  there was a lot of trading back and forth.  The party was a total success. John, we all had a wonderful time! Great company, food, and drinks.....
