Great reminder, Roy, about changes in trash removal. People always seem to get all confused during holidays.

Body-Worn Camera Programcamera
Selected officers within the Gaithersburg Police Department began using body-worn cameras in late October. The remaining officers will be outfitted in phases by the end of January, 2018. Body-worn cameras allow the Department to capture both audio and video interactions between officers and individuals. The cameras can help document police and citizen behavior and resolve citizen complaints, and can be used as evidence in criminal proceedings and civil litigation. Guidelines and instructions for officer use of body-worn cameras is in General Order 619.4. The Order and additional background information can be found here.

Last Chance for Loose Leaf Collectionleaf
You've got one more week to get those leaves raked for pick-up this season. Hurry, before they get covered with snow! Simply rake them curbside before 7 a.m. on your regular recycling day and our crews will vacuum them up. Please don't rake them into the gutter - that can cause drainage issues, which can be hazardous if freezing temperatures are predicted. The three-week spring loose leaf collection period starts the last week of March. Leaves can always be bagged in biodegradable paper bags for pick up on your regular recycling day.
