The Seven Gables playground is finished; just in time for the warm weather!  The new playground was unveiled this weekend.

The 66 acre park was purchased by referendum in 1976.  The original parcel of land had been part of Seven Gables Farm which was owned by the founding family of First National Bank of Chicago, the Westmore family.

Seven Gables Park boasts nine soccer fields, three tennis courts, a picnic shelter, public washrooms, baseball fields, a basketball court, and the brand new playground.  You can also relax on the 20 acres of open land or sit by the pond.

I hope to see you there.  My kids will be the ones running around like they own the pace with their cousins who live in the neighborhood.
