Serendipity Sundays - Long Work Days
People flock to historic areas during the holidays to get a flavor of Christmas long ago. On a recent trip to St. Charles, MO, I saw horses and carriages rides going up and down the cobblestone streets of the Old Town. The places was buzzing with activity.
It was toward the end of the day and my shopping feet were tired. I was thinking I sure needed a foot bath or at least a bench to rest my feet.
Then I looked up and saw the look on the poor horses faces and knew it could be worse. They had no foot bath or bench to sit on their shoes looked a whole lot less comfortable than mine. This must be the busy season for them and their hard work probably gets them a sugar cube or two, carrot or an apple.
We hard working agents are really busy over the holidays. The hard work does pay off with lots of commissions. In Clarksville, buyers are buying and sellers are selling. I have two buyers trying to close and move into their new homes before Christmas so the pressure is on. Those that are willing to work reap the benefits in real estate.
