I love these carnival posts. I seem to miss one or two of them, and these give me a chance to go back and learn something. Thanks!

I think the NEW/FMT news will be drivers on Monday, the FDIC just sent a rather large warning shot across the bow of any FDIC institution (CFC, WAMU, etc) that it isn't going to let them risk federally insured deposits on risky loans.

Thank you Brian for the mention. I was so surporsed to see my name there! I appreciate that you thought enough of my blog to include it.

Brian, I am so impressed that you got Greg Swann to submit a post here! I do notice he posted it only to the group, so as not to take any points for it. And I figure that's because in Greg's universe, receiving points would take away from the perfection and purity of the thing. <s>

Ya gotta admire the guy! He has elevated being an "insufferable bastard" (his own words at times) to an art form. And just so's anyone is confused as to where I stand: Greg is one of my favorite bloggers.

PS Yes, I know this post is from 6 months or so ago. For some reason, when I clicked Brian's face this morning, this post displayed at the top. Wierd! So I figured I'd comment, anyway. No one else will probably see it!
