In our earlier post today, we shared a photo of the Lake Shrine in Pacific Palisades, on the Westside of Los Angeles. Here is the view from the bench as we sat content and enjoyed all that was around us.
In Yoga philosophy, this is known as Santosha and defined as:
Santosha can be a difficult concept to wrap your head around, particularly if your personal story is filled with negative thoughts. The Sanskrit word santosha is divided into two parts: sam, meaning completely or entirely, and tosha, meaning acceptance, satisfaction, and contentment.
There is nothing mystical or mysterious about it. It is being happy in your own skin for no reason at all. We wish you an abundance of Santosha!
