Blandy Farm is a 700 acre facility in Boyce VA that is owned by University of Virginia. It's open to the public year round and admission is FREE. It offers a variety of interesting topics such as hiking, horseback riding, plant and tree exploration, bird watching, photography, flowers, plants, art shows, history, picnics, and more. A great place to learn about nature and wildlife. Dogs are welcome at Blandy.
Here is a link on my Shutterfly account that shows some of the photos I took on a recent hike around Blandy Farm. It contains 133 photos, but you can scan through them fairly quickly if interested. You don't have to sign in, just click on the arrow to the right of the photos to scan through them.

You can learn more about activities offered at Blandy at link below.
From Lovettsville, take 287 south to Purcellville and get on 7W bypass to Berryville. Then turn left on 340S and follow to a left on route 50 in Boyce. Go 1.5 miles on 50 to the entrance on your right.
There is a 7.5 mile bridal trail around the property. Also, you can drive around the property if you don't want to walk the entire way. Parking areas are placed along the route which include handicap parking. Some areas are wheelchair accessible. A nice place to visit for all ages.
If you're a fan of plants in bloom, you might want to visit in the spring and summer months, but walking and hiking is common there year round from daylight to dark. The drive from Lovettsville to Blandy took me 50 minutes.
