Every year I write about some of the top real estate prices in the area and the MLS. This year I'll put a little bit of a different spin on it. We will have the same unbelievable foreclosure prices in a some upscale areas but I'll throw in one area near Schaumburg IL.
Highest Foreclosure in MLS was in Winnetka at $1,750,000 - 5BR's, 6.5BA's, 7 fireplaces, 5,800 square feet, 3 car garage. Taxes are $64,000 per year.
South Barrington at $1,201,000 - 5BR's, 7.5BA's, 4 fireplaces, 8,900 square feet, 5 car garage, 1.5 acres of land. Taxes are $32,300 per year.
Highest Sold Price in MLS for 2017 was for $7,500,000 for a home in Chicago's Gold Coast. Built in 1886, now has 5331 square feet. Taxes were $56,600 per year. This one made me really laugh as they had the averages for the gas & electric in the MLS. I'm pretty sure with that priced property & taxes you won't be concerned!
