When I awoke this morning it was -10 real temperature. With the wind it is an unbearable -32. I haven't experienced this sort of thing since my college days in Superior Wisconsin. I have a garage where I am now, but in those college days if you had a car you disconnected the battery and brought in in over night. I had almost forgotten this but with this weather it came back.
I went out yesterday and was amazed at the number of folks just coping. I needed to go to the phone store because my cell wasn't operating. Like me it is a really old version but works effectively. Guess what, there was a line and it took almost an hour to be seen. In the Berkshires, people are hardy but -10 is just too cold.
