Don't Let Sh*t Get In The Way
I know someone who used to work as a janitor for a night club. He would be there when the club had just closed for the night and would be responsible, with another individual, for cleaning the club, including the rest rooms.
After a long night in a busy night club, the rest rooms can get quite raunchy with various human discharges.
It is not a welcoming sight for someone who wants to use it, for someone who simply looks at it, and especially for someone whose job it is to clean it.
Mops, buckets, towels, cleaners, and such all to remove scum and smells.
It sounds disgusting however, the one janitor was amazed at how fast the other janitor could get the rest rooms clean. The walls, the floors, the toilets, and so on were all sparkling clean within ten minutes.
How do you do it? I'm ready to pass out after a minute in these filthy sh*t pits.
The solution was simple. Forget the mops and buckets and stuff. He would hook up the hose and squirt the place down. The entire room is either tile, ceramic, or metal. It has drains in the sinks, the toilets, the urinals, and on the floor. Just squirt away and away goes throw up down the drain.
Are there any parts of your job, which are just "sh*tty"? Step back for a moment and think about it. Don't let it overwhelm you. There is usually an easier way to accomplish a sh*tty task.
