Something special to do when you live in Flower Mound or any city in the Dallas Metroplex is to visit the Dallas Arboretum. If you're moving to TX and you love flowers, you can see what plants grow best for any season. The gardens are managed by Volunteers who have a deep appreciation for gardening. You will find all of the volunteers dedicated to maintaining the grounds to make it especially appealing to visitors. All volunteers are knowledgeable and willing to help you make the best of use of your time. As a member, you can attend special events exclusive for membership.
Tulips in the gardens at the Dallas Arboretum is a special time to walk around and enjoy all the sights, sounds, and sensational colors. It's a great way wake up your senses after winter. If you have a taste for food and tastes from around the world, the very popular "A Taste of the World," is calling out to all foodies and wine lovers. This is a special time at the Dallas Arboretum to introduce international culinary adventures and a variety of wines prepared and presented by dozens of award-winning chefs and wineries from around the world! It will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m.
The Dallas Arboretum is a very tasteful place surrounded by the tranquil beauty of trees, landscaping, art sculptures and a garden of tasteful opportunities, such as the following:
- Seasonal Tastings Daily 10 a.m. - 4 pm.
- Heritage Recipe Swap - Thursdays 10am - 12pm.
- Cooking Competition - Saturdays 11:30 - 1 pm (Taste Pavilion)
- Let's Get Cooking Demos (offered now through 1/14/18)
- Midnight at the Masquerade Garden to Table/Dinner/Murder Mystery 1/27
- Chocolate Lovers Unite 2/11/18 (1-3 at Test Pavilion)
- Valentine's Day Steakhouse (21+ on 2/14 6:30-8:30 pm
