Are you still driving around Buyers?

By
Real Estate Agent with Natasa Glamoclija

I would like to know if those high gas prices changed anything in your business? Do you still advertise that you are selling properties in all state or all city area, or you mention that you prefer to work just in certain area (like north, west, south, east suburbs or parts of town)? Do you still drive around Buyers for weeks (or months) in your car or there has changed something too?

I'm considering asking for a gas deposit if we take my car.  Touring lookers makes no cents.

Good morning Natasa- I still drive them around, but I try to get the buyers to be more selective about what they want to see or even have them preview neighborhoods prior to taking them out.

If all companies used virtual tours we could probably get it down to 5 houses in one area, but since not all real estate agents have virtual tours, the Realtors® sometimes have to drive to more houses than needed.

That's funny. I actually had my buyers drive me yesterday. They brought the whole family and have a bigger car so they suggested i just hop in with them.

They are fun clients and we definitley put some miles on so in the end, I had some fun and saved some money.

I'm finding that my buyers know what they want. They do their research and call me with the property in mind. Meanwhile I keep sending them properties that I think would match their criteria. This has reduced our driving time and showing time to the minimum.
