It is an old story but also an accurate one. Sometimes the best way to proceed is simply to get on with it. In my little corner of the world I see this daily. The animals teach us lessons always. They seem to understand better than we humans, that there is magic all around us and if we adapt to our surrounding we can and will thrive in it.
Where I live, in Western Massachusetts, it was 63 yesterday and snow melted big time. There were ice jams, flooding and then the temperatures dropped. It was like flying from one area to another and I never left my home. I have water seeping into my basement from the quick change and now, it is so icy outside that town robo calls advise folks to stay off the roads.
The animals didn't get the calls. They simply adapt because that is in their nature. I have begun to think that being flexible day to day is the best way to go. I have changed my plans for today and will do chores inside and at home. Tomorrow is a new day and I will see what happens. Being adaptive makes all the difference between being productive and being frustrated. I choose the former.
