How do you expect me to Sell this home looking like this?

By

Do you believe it? Lockbox on the front door, home is empty, go and see anytime? My thought was, maybe in May when this snow melts? Yes this is what it is like to show a home in the middle of winter here in Manchester NH. Well not every home, just the ones that the listing agent does not seem to check to make sure buyers can actually see it.

Everyone across the country is asking me how can people buy or sell homes given the weather. My answer is that despite winter, buyers are ready to buy, sellers are ready to sell and I am the "go to" Real Estate agent to make it happen.

I looked at the buyer, the buyer looked at me and said they really wanted to see it. With my new box of HEAT WARMERS, I picked out 2 and put them in my gloves. I grabbed my new TRUSTY SHOVEL and was prepared to shovel the walk. I was still excited I bought it online and it showed up 2 days later with Prime.

The buyer than looked at me again, and said we could skip it, the houses are kind of close together. But she was really happy I would have shoveled for her. Mr. Buyer though, wanted to get in. We got in....  A few days went by and her friend called. She said her friend was so happy with how i went over and above what a Realtor does, that she wanted to hire me to find her a new home too.

The moral of the story is that any time of year you are ready is a good time to buy or sell a home. There is a difference from agent to agent.  That a Buyer or Seller should not choose just any agent, choose the BEST agent for the job. Choose a better agent for better results.

My philosophy is simple, provide more personal and professional service to guide my clients through each step of the buying or selling process. All Agents are not created equal and every buyer or seller should take the time to hire the BEST not just the biggest. Those that hire me, find a dedication like no other.

Good morning Scott. I am glad you scored a new client from your willingness to get the buyer in. I wouldn't shovel, but the listing agent should have insured it was seeable. A contract with someone would help and I would advise any ansentee seller to do so.

Smart consumers are anxious to take advantage of the very low mortgage interest rates.

Hi Scott.  I always carried a shovel in my car during the winter in case I needed to shove a walkway.  It's what we do to serve our clients.

In this case it turned out well for you, but I do not understand sellers who are not prepared for winter weather when they have a vacant property on th market.

Hi Scott Godzyk, I'm surprised listing agents don't check on their listings to make sure they're accessible. You certainly are a good, prepared Realtor, your buyers are in great hands. We don't have that type of weather but I learned the hard way to make sure I have boots in my car and a rope just in case we get stuck in the mud.

We don't need to deal with snow in the Greater Sacramento region.  For me, showing property when it is 105 degrees outside is more difficult.  However, that can be alleviated by doing showings early in the day, or evening.
