Why Stage Your Home

By
Real Estate Agent with Texas Real Estate Services

I suggest that even before you put your home on the market, that we have an accredited home stager (ASP) come by your home give you a free itemized quote for staging it. There are several stagers in town to choose from. In case you're not familiar with what staging is, it is the process of preparing any home for sale by rearranging furniture, reducing clutter, adding a fresh coat of paint, or making high-impact repairs. It doesn't have to be expensive.

Staging sends the message of a well cared-for home.  By creating a series of first impressions, and showcasing your home's best features, the buyer connects emotionally and is able to visualize living there. Stagers objectively dress your home to appeal to a wide range of people while creating an emotional connection.  Home staging is showing your home with its best features forward in order to bring you a quick sale at the best price. Coldwell Banker Realty tracked 2,772 properties, ranging in price from $229,000 (U.S.) to $4.8 million, in eight major U.S. cities. It found that staged homes sold in half the time sold for up to 6.3% more.

Most potential buyers spend just 3-4 minutes walking through a home. You need to make those moments memorable and profitable! For the best impression, a home should be staged before it is even listed on the market and MLS photos are taken! 81% of your potential buyers shop on the Internet first! Staging prior to putting your home on the market means that it rises above the competition. Want to see some before and after photos?

When you have prospective buyers walking through your doors it'll either be "love at first sight," or "quick honey, let's get outta here." If you're looking to sell sooner than later, you probably want to dress your home nice to create that love at first sight feeling so staging is most certainly should be an option! And the great thing about it is (and Annette said it best): "it doesn't have to be expensive."

Excellent examples of staging!  One of my friends has a staging business here in South Florida.

Your clients are lucky to work with you.

Annette,

You have put together a great collection of 'Before and Afters'. If this doesn't convince people I don't know what will.

Annette, staging can make a huge difference when it comes to people like me who do not have any imagination, and what they see is what they see.  It can be the difference between getting a WOW or how much did you say they want for this ........ your kidding.
