I chuckled when I happened to be searching Google and saw a pay per click advertisement for Realtor.com! I have always wondered if their claims on being the number one website for real estate where true. They state that they get so many millions of hits every month, but if you think about it, how many Realtors across the US are forced to login on a daily basis to Realtor.com to enhance or edit their listings. I'm sure they are counting us as traffic! I carry normally 10 - 15 listings on average and I can tell you that since January 1st of this year, I have only received 50 clicks to my website coming directly from Realtor.com. That averages out to about 1 click per listing per month at the very most! I wish we were able to see the true amount of traffic that Realtor.com receives so that when their sales staff calls and asks us to pay for the astronomical prices on enhanced items such as "Featured Homes" or "Featured Neighborhoods", we could say prove your worth... back up your claims and show me the true amount of traffic I will receive!
