Sunshine in January at Fishhawk Lake inspires people to get outside! As I was showing homes yesterday, my buyers were commenting on what a gorgeous day it was! It gives us this taste of what’s to come, soon, I feel, as it’s been a pretty mild winter.
People were hiking around the lake, canoeing, and there were even two sets of family playing tennis outside!
It made for the perfect setting to showcase my slice of paradise, Fishhawk Lake. Some buyers prefer a sunnier side of the lake, and this gives us a good opportunity to see where the sun hits during the day.
I also felt like I had a direct connection to the fowl in our community, as the Canada Geese ambled by in front of my clients’ car as they met me at the Yoder Community Lodge for our two-hour tour. Moments later, a Great Blue Heron swooped by and landing high up on a branch across from us. Then, at one of my showings, a luxury “green home”, serenely located at the base of Fishhawk Creek, (think A River Runs Through It), a majestic Bald Eagle flew by the floor-to-ceiling windows!

One of my clients had asked about the tennis courts, and wouldn’t you know as I brought them back to their vehicle, we saw the families of adults and children (and one wee dog) lobbing tennis balls back and forth!
It really felt as if I’d orchestrated this whole thing to suit whatever they needed to plant Fishhawk Lake in their minds as a contender for buying a luxury home on a lake.
