Three Goals of a Beverly Hills Realtor: Endre Barath, Jr.
Many of you, who read my posts know, that I rarely set goals in writing, (I know it goes against the grain for most of the gurus) never the less, somehow, I always managed to achieve what I set my mind to.
Just to give you a few examples, my approach goes back to my days in High School, when I wanted to become a West Point Cadet, FYI I never wrote it down, I just had a single-minded focus and somehow, I managed to get accepted at the United States Military Academy. Then when I left the service and returned from Europe, on a mini vacation in Boston, MA, I decided that Boston would be a great place for me to live and work. Less than three years later my office was on Copley Square in Boston, MA.
While I lived and worked in Boston, MA, especially in the winter, I always dreamed about the Pacific Ocean and I visualized living near the beach with palm trees in a temperate climate. A few years later here we were living in Los Angeles near the beach and twenty plus years later we are still here.
Thanks to my friend Debbie Reynolds she asked to share what ‘Three Goals’ I would like to achieve this year, I decided to participate.
Now my first Goal sounds easy to accomplish, I wish to read twelve hardcover books that we already own. If I break this down, it is about one book every other week. Some of you would say, this should not be so hard! Now keep in mind blogging on Active Rain and selling real estate in the greater Beverly Hills area, can slow this process down quite a bit.
My second Goal is to declutter my home office by the end of the year and clearly this will have to be done daily, one recycle bag at a time. This again sounds easy, but the reality is when I have many balls in the air and I am trying to juggle them, the piles on my desk as well as on the floor usually get bigger and multiply rather than shrink. Hence, I will have to develop iron discipline in a daily purging regimen, just as I do with my time blocking for everything else.
My third Goal for 2018 is to have dinner in one of the top restaurants in the world. To be more specific one off the list of the top 50 restaurants in the world😊!
As you can imagine, these are my goals and of course Diane and I have shared goals as well, such as supporting our local Animal Rescue Organizations. Making home improvements that are needed.
Then to boot, Diane has her own goals, when it comes to vacations, so the underlying message is, that to achieve my goals the other priorities come first and must be achieve. With that said, my work must generate a great deal more profit and time to accomplish these goals.
Since I mentioned before, I never put things in writing, I will be interested to find out how much this visualization via this post will help in achieving my goals?
Keep in mind these are my short-term goals, since that was the purpose of this challenge!
