Play Nice, Have Fun, and No Throwing Sand

Sandbox

Rules are necessary because, without them, we adults push the limits and don't behave like we should. Being apart of ActiveRain means we agree to play by the rules and the rules spell out what the purpose of this community is all about.

ActiveRain Community Guidelines are supposed to be read when we join the community and become a member. Lynn B. Friedman
has incorporated writing a post about them into her January Blogging Challenge.  It is never wrong to go back for a fresher and once a year is not too often.

The context of the guidelines is interlaced with respect for the community and its Members. It also requires we follow the Federal Fair Housing Laws. The public sees many of our posts so we must be aware that our industry is affected by what we write and what we say.

No Throwing Sand. This is one of the rules I remember from Kindergarten. It hurts and stings and when it is done to you, you remember. The sand thrower is labeled a bully and bullies are not tolerated in the Rain.

Exchanging ideas and even submitting an opposing view is strongly encouraged. There is lots of room for expression and sharing of ideas. It is a platform to promote and share valuable information on real estate.

  1. Read the rules
  2. Follow the rules
  3. Don't push people around
  4. Share
  5. Play well together
  6. Have fun
  7. Speak up and offer new ideas
  8. Help build the team
  9. Be part of the discussion and offer opposing views
  10. Bullying will not be tolerated

We build relationships with the Members. We refer business and look for opportunities to share ideas and to grow our businesses.  Many times we look to ActiveRain Members first to give our referrals to. We all become stronger and better when the rules are followed and our businesses benefit.

Have you read the principles and guidelines?   Play Nice, Have Fun, and No Throwing Sand.
