"Risk more than others think is safe.
Care more than others think is wise.
Dream more than others think is practical.
Expect more than others think is possible."
-Claude Bissell.

Greatest Inspirational Quotes: 365 days to more Happiness, Success, and Motivation
Happy New Year for the 17th time! Today's daily dose of Organek Food for Thought combines Think and Grow Rich's Chapter 4 on Autosuggestion and Claude Bissell's quote on having your own standard and not letting the thoughts of others limit yours.
Think And Grow Rich's "Autosuggestion". Autosuggestion is "The medium for influencing the subconscious mind". My takeaway from the third step towards riches is, Autosuggestion is the easiest way to train your subconscious mind to take orders from you in the spirit of absolute faith. Since our subconscious minds store away every sensory impression we have, it is easy to inject manufactured impressions on the subconscious mind by just repeating something off of a notecard you are holding. Close your eyes while stating an affirmation and use your senses to imagine the accomplishment of your task that you are using autosuggestion to help you with. It is that simple! What will invariably happen is a random occurrence will happen to have you gain faith in your affirmation or autosuggestion act and that in turn will have you have more enthusiasm while you are performing your routine. I explain this briefly in the video.
The Quote: "Risk more than others think is safe. Care more than others think is wise. Dream more than others think is practical. Expect more than others think is possible." -Claude Bissell.
Other people shouldn't have an influence on what you set out to do unless it helps you to stretch. Don't play down to the standards of others. If you have clearly defined goals that relate to your definiteness of purpose and a plan to dress it up with, ignore the challenges or limitations people around you impose on themselves
The mash-up: Set your standards as high as you want regardless of the opinions of those around you. If they say it's too risky, risk more. If people find you foolish for showing care or concern that they wouldn't otherwise, be a fool and care as much as you want. Your definite purpose should drive you, not the opinions of others. Find that purpose and create faith in your accomplishing of it through autosuggestion and you will win in the end.
