This Sunday night, January 21, marks the opening of a month long run of Zoey’s Perfect Wedding, a new play series that is already getting critical acclaim in the preview sessions held so far. The grand opening will be at the Space Theater and you will have until Feb 25, 2018 to catch this play. The price is $30.00, and the time will vary by day you decide to see it. The synopsis is as follows. Zoey has had dreams of the big day for the better part of her adult life. She imagines a blushing bride, the touching toasts, the dancefloor and the open bar. So far its been exactly the opposite. Diester after disaster follows her down the aisle, to the cake cutting, to the guests in attendance. The brutally honest boozy speeches are front, and center and the wedding planner might as well have not showed up. All her friends are preoccupied with their own relationship woes to even seem to be present. This wilily funny fiasco must be seen to be experienced. The playwright was the author of The Whipping man and Denver audiences will recognize Matthew Lopez’s name and the director Mike Donahue. This production once again reunites the dynamic duo and promises an uproarious new play.
