Although stocks managed moderate gains today, MBS bonds stunk it up once again. I have been warning about the danger of the 10 year Treasury note closing over the 2.62 threshold. Today it closed at 2.6592. This does not bode well for the continuation of the low interest rate environment we have been enjoying for so long. Barring a quick reversal, this could create a longer term trend. I will keep you apprised as we move forward. The Dow gained 53 points on the day.
