Since we cannot get to the Santa Barbara Farmers Market due to the closure of the Northbound 101, we decided to have breakfast in Ojai. After breakfast, we went over to the Rainbow Bridge Market to explore some of their offerings. Here are some brands they carry that made us smile:
do you have to be hip to buy these?
Now you know, what it takes to have good karma!
And with bean crisps, enlightenment is guaranteed at $4.05 a bag!
Wishing you lots of Saturday smiles!
Update on life in Santa Barbara County:
Hopefully, this coming Monday (we are all crossing our fingers and paws), we will be able to traverse the 15 mile stretch of freeway that has been closed for 10 days now. Workers have been steadily removing the eight feet of mud and debris that have closed the 101 North Bound Freeway daily in 2-12 hour shifts.
In Carpinteria, we have a daily convoy of trucks every 5 minutes picking up dredged mud and debris at each creek tributary (8.1 miles in total) that flows into the ocean. We had to buy an air filtering device to keep our indoor air fresh, and dust daily. Through all this, there are many reasons to still smile and maintain a positive outlook!
