Hi folks. Today is the big day!! This is the official launch of my new social network BBsWorld.ego. This social network is open to all and is all about ME, ME, ME, ME!! OK....just kidding. While that does sound like an excellent theme for a social network it'll have to wait for another time..........

........because today, I'm launching a social network at http://poincianapeeps.ning.com. And fortunately, it's NOT about me. It's about Poinciana. This social site is being provided free of charge as my gift to you.....my Poinciana Peeps(friends).

Poinciana Peeps is a place where residents and friends of Poinciana can go to share their thoughts, ideas, news, videos, music or anything that may interest Poinciana Peeps.

I'm hoping that with time this will be the go to spot for everything Poinciana.  So...if you live in Poinciana, have friends in Poinciana, want to move to Poinciana or just want to know about Poinciana feel free to join Poinciana Peeps!!!

"But Broker Bryant, how do we join?" That's easy! Just click on the picture slide show above or the Eagle video below. Both will take you right over to Poinciana Peeps. Ya'll come on down now...ya here?

**OK..as much as I love all my ActiveRain friends this new site is for Poinciana Peeps. I posted this for three reasons.

  • Google juice. I figue if someone Googles Poinciana Social Network this post will show up.
  • I wanted to give you an idea of something you could do for your market area. All it takes is a little bit of your time and a free account over at http://ning.com
  • I wanted to share my cool Eagle video I took in Poinciana about 6 weeks ago!!!

How did I do?

Fabulous.

That Eagle appears to be very domesticated.  Or, was he like the wild turkey that crossed my yard last week, just visiting??

Great shot of the eagle! Too bad he got scared away. I've only seen one in the wild at Laurel Lake in Kentucky. there was a little island where there was a nest. Hope you and TLW have a fabulous weekend!

Hi guys, The Eagle was incredible. Did you know Polk county Florida has the highest concentration of Eagles in the country not counting Alaska? This one was one of the largest I have seen. His wing span had to be more than 7 feet. A new subdivision had just been cleared right behind where I was standing to take the video. Prior to be cleared it was major Eagle habitat. He didn't seem to care at all about the cars driving by. It was the perfect video op.

BB ~

Good luck with this!  Mention to TLW that maybe she can share her brownie recipe there.

That eagle must have been a pretty amazing site just on the side of the road like that.

I've had ning in my bookmarks forever. I need to just go ahead and get started. Good luck! And I can't believe you got a photo of a real, live eagle! We usually just see Osprey and people tend to think they're eagles.

Bryant, my friend,

Are you having a mid-life crisis? First 10 buyer's rep. salesman and now a social network.

You know Brenda and i wish you well, but your new found ambitiousness is at once both enviable and scarey. You're taking on a lot of work.

Good Luck,

Bill

Hi Bryant, this is a very nice community networking opportunity.  Your hit count should go through the roof and offer a real peek at your market at the same time from a community perspective.  Very nice.

I had to come back again to tell you that I just set up several mini social networking sites for my farm neighborhoods. I have been harassing my HOA to get away from paper newsletters and this is the ticket!

I set a private one up for my brokerage as the intraoffice website of sorts and am loading up brokerage documents and the company logo to it with the greatest ease.

BB, thanks for sharing this tool!  It was incredibly easy to do even for someone such as myself who is a complete tech dummy.

BB, thanks for sharing.  I have been looking for way to do something like this in my neighborhood.

Also, the eagle video was way cool.

Peep!!

These networks are very easy to set up. I have another one that I did for my Church and I'm also going to do one for my family. I figured it would be a good way for extended families to keep in touch. It's like having your own personal myspace network.

Amandas idea of setting them up for neighborhoods in your farm is also go. There are a lot of uses for these. You are only limited by your imagination.

Good luck on your new site...I actually thought about doing something like that myself, but one of our tv stations is doing something similar and I'm one of the first to participate.....so, we'll see how that goes first!  Again, good luck to you and cool eagle video!

Broker B, that was absolutely awesome! Really really awesome. Wow. Now, was this kill something he brought in or something he found at the side of the road? It's so wierd that you got this...

Just last week I was driving back to my office in Huntsville and on the side of the road was an Eagle...just like that! REALLY. He was a good 40-50 feet from what looked like fresh road kill but he wasn't right at it. It flew just as my car was passing him and he had the same size wing span as what you filmed...

Now, everyone I talked to kept saying no,no,no,no,no, you couldn't have seen a Bald Eagle on the side of the road. Besides, they won't eat anything but fresh kill!

BB, this didn't make any sense to me because I knew I saw it! I may be crazy but I don't go around seeing Eagles at the side of the road that aren't there!!!!

Next thing I know I received a newsletter from one of my local neighborhoods and they were wittnessing sightings of the Eagle...yea! I wasn't seeing huge birds that weren't there!

But, I felt he was going for the road kill and my office manager and I got into it over the fact that she said it wouldn't eat something he wouldn't catch and I disagreed...whattaya think??

Too much information? Later in the rain~Deb I loved watching this/!!

HI Debra, You can tell those folks that it is a fact that Eagles eat road kill. Not only that but I have seen them in the middle of a pack of Buzzards eating the same road kill. They really are magnificent birds.
