LOUIS VUITTON

The iconic "Louis Vuitton" brand has withstood the test of time.  Over the years the Louis Vuitton brand has not wavered in their quality and workmanship. Louis Vuitton factories maintain strict manufacturing and design guidelines.

Louis Vuitton started making trunks at the age of 16 in 1837.  Twenty-two years thereafter, north of Paris, he opened a workshop in Asnières and started with 20 employees in 1859.  Louis Vuitton authentic products are still lovingly crafted there today.  170 craftsman now work in the Asnières workshop designing and crafting high quality leather goods for clients around the world.

At first glance, you may think that a Louis Vuitton knock off looks real, but it is all in the details.  The number of stiches.  The way the leather or canvas is carefuly placed on the handbag.  The quality of the materials and finishing.  The LV logo will be stratigically placed on the hardware.  Zippers are of the highest quality. The lining of the bag is finished and of the highest quality materials.  All Louis Vuitton handbags now have date codes.

Louis Vuitton handbags are an investment piece.  They never go on sale.  If you maintain the condition of your handbag, you can very often sell it years later for about the same or even sometimes more than you originally paid for one of their beautiful handbags.

It is very easy to spot a fake Louis Vuitton just like in Real Estate...

Be authentic.  Be the best that you can be in all areas of your life and business. Go for quality over quantity.

When marketing yourself, make sure that your marketing represents you and your personal brand at all times.

Be Authentic...

Good morning Joyce. What a great post and the analogy is a good one. Nothing can trump authenticity.

Joyce,

Interesting analogy.  I have seen LV bags that were as authentic as the originals all over Europe...and those who buy it do not care about the number of stitches. It is just as status symbol that makes it look that they are buying the real thing.  The bag itself real or otherwise is an advert for the company.  That is where the marketing genius is, that people are willing to advertize the brand and pay heaps of money to do that!  A

Hi Joyce Marsh, Daytona Beach Florida - I love this story because many years ago I was in Toastmasters and some woman gave a speech on Louis Vuitton handbags. She brought her collection and shared intimate stories about what the bags meant to her but the take away then, as is now, is to understand the value of the product you're selling and to respect yourself enough to provide quality.

Thank you so much Joyce!!! I enjoyed your blog post very much.

Interesting analogy... But are there really many people who understand the finer things in Real Estate? The stitches, the details?

Another way to look at it - since so many folks like to copy it - it must be good.

Love this analogy. I don't like knock-offs. Real or nothing. And it has little to do with cost. Just want to get what's advertised People who aren't genuine bug the heck out me...and don't get me started about knock-off agents. Congrats on the star.

We all want the best quality, but not everyone is willing to pay for it. We in real estate just need to be the best we can be at all times,

Great post Joyce Marsh, Daytona Beach Florida  with awesome reminders for our business:  Louis Vuitton handbags NEVER go on sale; and they are not fake. It pays in any business to be authentic and do not discount your services.

Joyce - congratulations on the feature. A few years ago I brought the buyer to a showing, and Julia Lomonosov was leeting us in. Both ladies had very similar bags, so both immediately noticed it, and started talking... That's how I first ran into Louis Vuitton's bags...
