Real Estate Technology with Chime

Our latest installment of Ring in the Sales, Chime's podcast, features a discussion with Brad Warren, real estate business coach and author. We talked to Brad about managing the activities that drive your business. Here's an example of what you'll learn during this podcast, which is available now.

Chime:

You say, "If you don't manage your activities, they will manage you." What does that mean?

Brad:

Life is like a bus ride. You can be the driver of the bus or a passenger on someone else's. Every time someone makes a demand on your time, they're asking you to get on their bus. For example, a client calls and wants to see a new listing. You jump in your car and drive across town. You meet the client outside the home, but now that they've seen it from the street, they're not interested in seeing the inside. You just spent 30 minutes or more on someone else's bus.

Chime:

Do you have tips or tricks for avoiding the pitfall of not managing your activities?

Brad:

The number one issue is time blocking, and it ranks far above any other issues that prevent managing your activities. I recommend taking 30 to 60 minutes each weekend to block out your time for the following week. Block off time to follow up on emails, prepare CMAs. You should even block time for personal things like going to the gym. Time blocking encourages you to keep the agreements you've made with yourself.

If you'd like more control over your activities, you need to listen to this podcast today!
