It’s so fun to discover talented writers here in ActiveRain especially when they live right here in Austin! Erika Albert is an Austin native which is hard to find these days with all the transplants! She grew up in Westlake and graduated from Westlake High School and went to LA for college and is back in Austin.
I gave Erika a call and was delighted to learn how her career in real estate evolved. She started working short term vacation rentals and soon realized she needed a real estate license to manage properties. She joined Keller Williams and then moved over to the Dave Murray Texas Realty at Coldwell Banker in charge of managing their transactions. Dave is in our NW office (he maintains his own location) and has a very high profile when it comes to luxury and historic homes, land, waterfront properties and celebrity owned properties.
Right now Erika has been working all over Austin but plans in 2018 to hone her sphere and concentrate more on properties in Westlake and near her new residence, she is moving to in the 78745 zip code. It’s new construction and she is very excited to be closing up and moving in soon.
Even though her parents moved out of Westlake on acreage in Bee Caves she has lots of contacts in Westlake which she needs to tap. Many of her listings and sales have been in the 78745 zip code so it only stands to reason she has a start on making her presence known in this area. Two areas to concentrate her efforts sounds like a win/win to me!
Erika works with sellers and buyers on a diverse array of property types; she has a wealth of experience working with condos as well as farm and ranch properties and everything in between.
I started following Erika when she wrote her post on Do it for more than points! If you’re not providing value to your readership you are probably writing for points. She likes to write and her advice to newbie’s on getting into real estate was another exceptional post! Don’t be a secret agent and don’t be afraid to switch brokerages to find the right fit.
Erika is a great addition to the ActiveRain forum and if you haven’t found her yet head over and see what she has to say and welcome her! She is a stand out in the crowd!
