Some Peoples Biggest Problem is They BELIEVE They Are Too Busy To...

By
Real Estate Agent with HomeSmart

A couple of words I really get annoyed when I hear them: No problem and I’m Busy.

Get a life! When I tell you, I have reached the end, or accomplished what we were out to get done, or say thank you to you.

Don’t respond to me with NO PROBLEM. Who started that ignorant statement. No meaning whatsoever.

The more appropriate response would be: Thank you, or OK, or great.

The other idiotic word used daily is: busy.

Stop and realize you have the same number of hours in the day as The President of The United States, your parents, your boss, the people who make millions of dollars more than you on a regular basis.

I have never been too busy.

I have worked 15 hours in a day instead of five or 12 a few times.

Handling some escrows, a few listings, and everything else in my life at the same time with no assistant works quite well.

While we are on a tantrum, one other thing. Using “the traffic was bad or heavy” is no excuse. You could have left 15 minutes earlier.

Carry a couple books in your car, when you arrive too early, sit and read for eight minutes.

My one of my three promises to clients is: I will always be on time. If I am one minute late I owe you a $100. Gift cart for your favorite restaurant.

Last year I handed out two $100. Gift cards.

Some type of offer like that, can cause you to almost always be on time.

Realize, the word BELIEVE is extremely powerful.

After all it is in the bible over 243 times.

Change your beliefs - change your life.

I make it a point to focus on handling time wasters daily.

If something here opened your eyes, to make a change in a procrastination habit of yours let me know.

Good morning Dan. Being on time, without an excuse for being late, is always my goal. Enjoy your day!

If I had a dime for everytime someone said they don't have time to do this and that, I would have retired 20 years ago!!!

Never late! Is one of my mottos. It really eats at me if I get stuck in traffic but still 99% on time(early). The "No Problem" is a big issue for me as well but I realized I was fighting a losing battle. When I first heard it I used to ask-"why would that have been a problem?" Just say thank you and walk away!

I understand that "no problem" is often said of "thank you". I have a larger issue with "my bad."  What on earth does that mean?

I SO agree with you about "no problem." When a store clerk says that to me I always have the urge to say "Oh, is helping customers supposed to be a problem for you?" So far I've refrained.

As for "Busy" - sometimes I get too busy to take time for goofing off - but I'm never too busy to get my work done on time - or to talk with a new client.
