You can't help but think about the housing market whether or not you are in real estate or not. The word " foreclosure" has become part of our every day vocabulary. And how sad it is, peoples hopes and dreams have been terminated. Nobody wants it to happen and it's not the kind of thing you plan for. The victims come in all shapes and sizes including the displaced pets that can not be taken along with the other family possessions.
In the last year I've helped three families find new homes. Not because there were behind in their payments, their landlords were late in their payments. The tenants claimed to be paying on time every time but none the less they were being booted out of their homes. My latest home buyer (ex-renter) decided to make a temporary move immediately. The landlord said she could stay, no problem but the tenant didn't want to be there when the sheriff knocked on the door. Imagine, being kicked out of your home due to no fault of your own.
I draw no conclusions to this predicament. It just seems so unfair.

As an REO agent I cant tell you how many times I have walked up to the front door to offer the keys for cash only to find out it is a renter who just paid their rent to an owner who told the renter nothing about being in foreclose. Banks are working with such lenders as best as theyare able. But yes Renters are losing homes thru no fault of their own.
