It's the last day of January, the last day to enter Debbie Reynolds challenge, Making 2018 the Best Year Yet, and this is me, sliding into home plate at the last possible moment with my dreams, goals, and vision entry.
December and January have been busy months, and I'm thankful for the carryover of real estate business to keep the momentum going into the new year. We are 31 days into 2018, and if you haven't done so, now is the time to define the dreams, goals, and vision and decide how to achieve your goals. Anyone can SET goals, but putting a plan into action takes preparation.
These are MY goals to make 2018 the Best Year Yet!
Goal #1: Buy an investment property
It's time to invest in another rental unit. Brandon has a need for good rentals, and I have access to the inventory, have the knowledge and experience to make an enlightened purchase, have access to contractors, and know the bankers by name. This plan should become a reality within the first six months of the year.
Goal #2: Get Organized!
This goal is probably harder than anything I've ever attempted, but I'm going to give it the old college try. My "plan" to achieve this goal is to make a written plan, my "to-do" list, and to take bites out of that list at every opportunity. It encompasses every aspect of my life, from personal, to social, to business, and if it means less time with the television and more time in quiet reflection, so be it. Which leads me to Goal #3.
Goal #3: Be Relevant
Be relevant! Live in the moment, be significant to your family and friends, be AWARE and available to those in your life who rely on you. Do not busy yourself with busy work but make TIME for your loved ones. Engage in SOCIAL activity. Go to dinner. Invite friends over. Date your spouse. Hug your kids. Buy the ice cream. Pet the dog. Make the phone call. Reconnect. Live your life. Toss the clutter. Welcome new friends into your circle.
I have my business goals and am working full time selling real estate in the Brandon, Madison, and Flowood market. These goals are of a personal nature and are written to keep myself accountable.
